Fever
A fever is defined as a temporary increase in body temperature. This is one of the main elements of the immune response of the body. Normally, it occurs as a result of infection due to the presence of bacteria or viruses that the body has to fight off.For most children and adults, a fever can cause discomfort, chills, sweating, and generalized malaise. Normally, the fevers would subside after a few days due to the body's response to the infection. Most times, over-the-counter treatments like acetaminophen or ibuprofen relieve fever and its discomfort; however, if the fever is mild and causes less distress, treatment is not considered necessary.
